The Working Mind
Healthcare Professional

Healthcare workers carry the weight of other people's hardest moments, every single shift - often without the time, resources, or space to process what they hold. You’re trained to care for others with immense skill and precision, yet you’re rarely given that same care in return.

The mental health pressures within Canada's healthcare system are deeply rooted, and the systemic strain has only accelerated. The Working Mind for Healthcare Professionals is an evidence-based, five-hour program developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada. This curriculum was shaped around the frontline realities of modern clinical environments.

Built specifically for the people holding the system together, this training meets you exactly where you are, whether you're a frontline nurse, physician, an allied health professional, or part of the vital healthcare support staff. It provides a rare, protected space to step away from the floor and focus entirely on your own psychological safety and resilience. Exceptional clinical skill alone can't shield you from the daily weight of a system under pressure. This program provides the objective frameworks and practical tools needed to protect your well-being while you care for others.

Professional Development Credits

“As an ER nurse in a rural facility, TWM challenges the status quo and works to change the culture to one that's more inclusive, supportive, and safe. Having a facilitator with direct patient care experience also created an environment where we felt understood and validated. That shared understanding made it easier to be open and share experiences with my fellow peers.
As a new grad, I think this course is essential.
